Terms of Service
Effective date: September 14, 2026. These terms (also called an end user license agreement) govern use of Alice and the other tools Just Work. builds and operates for clients.
1. What Alice does
Alice receives job photos and text messages from an authorized user, uses AI-based extraction to read pricing and job details, assembles a draft invoice, and sends it back by text message for review. Once approved by an authorized user, Alice creates the invoice in the client's connected QuickBooks Online account.
2. License
We grant the client a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Alice for its own internal invoicing operations, for as long as the client's agreement with Just Work. remains active. This license does not permit resale, sublicensing, or use by anyone outside the client's authorized team.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Submit accurate photos, prices, and job information
- Review each draft invoice carefully before approving it
- Keep access to the phone numbers and accounts used with Alice secure
- Use Alice only for legitimate business invoicing
Alice assists with drafting invoices, but the client is responsible for reviewing and approving every invoice before it is sent to QuickBooks. We are not responsible for errors that result from inaccurate information submitted to Alice or from an approval given without adequate review.
4. QuickBooks connection
To create invoices, Alice must be connected to the client's QuickBooks Online account through Intuit's authorization process. The client controls this connection and may disconnect it at any time through QuickBooks or by contacting us. Once disconnected, Alice can no longer create or modify invoices in that account.
5. Availability
We aim to keep Alice available and working reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. From time to time the service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Alice is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but we do not guarantee that every extraction or draft invoice will be error free. This is why human review and approval is a required step before anything reaches QuickBooks.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Just Work. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of Alice, including errors in a draft invoice that a user approved without correction.
8. Termination
Either party may end the use of Alice at any time by written notice. Upon termination, we will disconnect the QuickBooks integration and, upon request, provide or delete stored records in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Alice after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated to our clients directly.
